I have the same problem with my RE200 V2, but only with the 2,4 GHz Network. What can I do?
I think you can also check your firmware and in your region and update to the latest first

My Firmware is 1.1.3 Build 20170818 Rel. 58183. There is no newer version. Then I will return the part and buy me something decent, if no one wants to help me.

Is your hardware version V4? They have a beta for V4 version: http://static.tp-link.com/TL-WA850RE(EU)_V4_170925_beta.zip
Is this BETA version okay to be installed for India location? Though I noticed the filename of the zip says (EU) that suggests it is for Europe.
But the latest firmware on India site also has (EU) in it's filename. Can you please confirm about the same.
Regards,
Girish

The same, when you look at the tp-link india official website the firmware is also EU

Same problem
2017-10-29 06:48:03
HI,
I have the same problem with a macbook and imac => "invalid password" when connecting to my new RE200.
I updated the firmware with the last version.
It works fine with my android smartphone....
Any idea? (I already tried lots of things: change security, disable DHCP, use fix IP adress...)
Thx

Ok, but when you install it and update it when you log in, request a password. What is the one I should type in because the one I had before is not anymore?

The default login username and password are both admin. If you have changed then and don't remember that, reset the repeater.
The password when configuring after login is the wireless password of your router.
