Model : ArcherC5400

Hardware Version : ArcherC5400 v2.0

Firmware Version : 1.2.2 Build 20170801 rel.62547(5553) (Updated yesterday to the beta firmware to try to fix this but the problem persists)

ISP : ViaFibra

Issue:
I connected a Seagate USB3.0 harddrive to the USB3.0 port of my Archer C5400 router, then the router started to reboot from time to time and kept the CPU load at 100% all the time.

After I removed the HDD the CPU load dropped to 5% and it stopped rebooting.

Hard Drive:

Sandisk HDD connected using a Seagate USB 3.0 Cable, GPT, NTFS, Size 931.51Gb

I dont have another USB 3.0 HDD to try.

This router has a lot of bugs for its cost huh?

Is it V1 or V2?
What is the model number of the harddrive? Storage and format?
Can try another hard drive on the USB 3.0 port. If still the same, it's better to contact tplink support at support@tp-link.com

Could it be the Homecare scanning the HDD for viruses?
