upgraded from 300mbps to 500mpbs and now really unstable
Hi - I recently had my fibre upgraded from 300mbps to 500mbps and since the upgrade in speed my wifi has been lagging, hanging up and buffering on streaming - none of this happend at 300mbps !
I have a Fritzbox 7530 wifi 6 router, which I have disabled the wifi on, this then has a deco X10 plugged into it with two other x10 nodes about the house.
Fritxbox is a 1,800 Mbit/s (5 GHz) and up to 600 Mbit/s (2.4 GHz), DSL router.
I know that the 2.4 Ghz rating on the Deco X10 is only at 300mbps, so I dissabled the 2.4GHz channel on the master unit, leaving only 5GHz in the house.
But it constantly drops out, i loose connection on teams calls, downloading streaming content on Netflix I just watch it buffer 1%, 2% 3% etc... its like dial up !!
Is there an issue with my hardware/software ? are faster speeds just less stable !
Kinda wishing I never upgraded
