Hi,

 

For the last 6 months when I work from home and I need to connect via RDP to certain servers (Note we have an IAM which connects to customer environment by RDP).

 

... and now recently internal servers connected via RDP these are constantly dropping out.  Getting error 3078 (error in data encryption).

 

Can happen randomly but when happens I have to continually log in repeatedly to do my job.  Which is a massive pain.

 

This never happened 6 months ago and nothing in the next has changed.

 

My IT reviewed my PC and network and everything looks good, as connect permanently to our internal VPN over UDP, they believe the router maybe be exhausting the ports and disconnecting.

 

But also when I log into one of our servers to manage customers, we design and build an ERP system and this randomly disconnects throughout the day.

 

This is really affecting my ability to do work.  I moved into this house 12+ months ago, have a really good 1000Mb fibre connection at the house and have no drop-outs seen anywhere else.

 

If I RDP into an internal server ... No drop outs.  It's only when I connect externally.

 

I've also noticed I have 2 x Raspberry Pis which are connected by ethernet and I monitor their connections and occasionally I get notifications these have rejoined the network.

 

Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue?  I think this happened after a firmware upgrade as had no issues previously and nothing else has changed.

 

Worked provided a new laptop and issue persists on this as well

  @OGriobhtha 

Hi,  Have you tried to bypass Deco, connect the work PC at home directly to the ISP gateway/cable modem to see whether the RDP over VPN conenction is stable or not?

 

Personally, if the work PC can hold the constant VPN connection to the company server, the latter RDP connection to the company ERP and other company servers would no longer be relevant to Deco.

Hi ... I have no issues if I hotspot to mobile device or if I go into office.

 

I have factory reset router and set it up again.  Not as bad, but it's very sporadic.  Some days can be disconnected 10 times in 5 mins and other days stays connected for hours.

 

We have over 100 staff all using the same environment and it is only me who has the issue.

 

The VPN stays connected, just get these repeated errors which are "because of an error in data encryption, this session will end"

 

I'll have to dig out an old router and bypass the deco and see if that gives me any problems.

 

I'll report back my findings, might take a day or two
