I see there is a big offering of wifi routers.
my question is, is/are there home (not expensive neither corporate) wifi routers, that have firewall capabilities like the ER605 (I know it is a wired device, but to reference the firewall capabilities).
thanks

Hi@rafa_s,
Thank you for that you inquire about our home router.
For ER605, it's a commercial product and not within my scope of responsibility, so I don't know much about the parameters of the product.
Perhaps you can tell me what specific functions you want to achieve with the firewall?
Click Here to see all home routers. You can also filter in the left menu bar, such as selecting Antivirus to filter devices with this function.
Any other questions, feel free to reply here.

The simple answer to your question:
"is/are there home (not expensive neither corporate) wifi routers, that have firewall capabilities like the ER605 (I know it is a wired device, but to reference the firewall capabilities)."
is no - home routers don't support the firewall capabilities implemented in business routers (ER605, etc.)

thanks for the repply
I want to be able to allow, for a specific ip or ip's, only certain urls, after specific time,
in er605 I saw that is possible to do that, the idea is to concatenate
1. allow: source: ip1 - desintation: google / chatting platforms - time range 00:00 - 00:00
2. deny: source ip1 - dest: *, time range 00:00 - 08:00
so my kids can only google and chat
no youtube, nothing else.
thanks

Hi@rafa_s,
Thank you for your reply.
Currently, our Home router mainly identifies devices through the Mac address of clients.
If you want to manage the network usage time of specific devices through the settings of the router, you can consider a router with Homeshield function.
For Homeshield, you can click here to learn more.
However, if you think the functions of ER605 meet your needs, you can continue to use ER605. However, for the details of this product, you need to navigate to the Business Community for consultation.
