I just got my Deco system set up yesterday (3 Deco X20 [AX1800] units), Apple TV was plugged in via ethernet but my PS5 was getting intermittent connection so I switched the ethernet to PS5.
Since then if I'm connected to the same Deco I'm no longer able to connect AirPlay from my phone to my Apple TV.

I saw other posts saying if my iPhone was connected to a different Deco it would work and that's true, went to the Deco app and forced my iPhone to connect to a different Deco and suddenly AirPlay worked until I switched back to auto / my main Deco which is beside the Apple TV.

I have Fast Roaming disabled, same issue whether in Wifi Router or Access Point mode

Hi, Welcome to the community.

A new firmware 1.2.4 was released a few weeks ago. It is also suggested to install the latest firmware first:

Please also try to disable "Device Isolation" if it has been enabled. For more suggestions, please refer to Cannot AirPlay/Chromecast While Connected to the Same Deco

And I noticed you also submitted a support ticket and the case has been forwarded to the senior engineers for further assistance.

@David-TP I just bought these Decos this week. Firmware is upgraded and device isolation is on.

My Deco system is in Access Point mode, but I only set that after I discovered these issues, because it disables most of the security and smart features.

Devices connected to the same Deco cannot be discovered by each other but if they're connected to other Decos then they can.
I've ran a battery of tests using ping from command line and forcing specific devices to connect to different Decos.
When devices are connected to the same Deco, I cannot AirPlay, pings get no response, chromecast doesn't connect.

As soon as I force a device (my Apple TV, chromecast, phone, laptop) to a different Deco then ping and all the other features work.
