Monitor extender remote

I need to know if and when my extender goes down. I only know how to do this when I am on my home wireless network. But I need to be able to do this remotely, when I am far away from home.
All suggestions welcome.

Hi,
Do you need to be automatically notified as soon as the RE305 goes down or do you just want to be able to check manually?
TP-Link's products (at least the ones for home use) do not support the former, but the latter can be achieved by binding the RE305 to a TP-Link account and then check its online status via the Tether app.
PS. I am not sure whether all versions of the RE305 support the Cloud service, but versions V3 and higher should.

Thanks for your answering here!
RE305(all hardware versions) can be set up and managed by Tether app.

Thanks for helping me in a clear and useful way.
I've implemented cloud for the extender now and lo and behold I can access it remotely.
My original idea that I couldn't get to work, was to ping the extender. I could have automated, ping every hour for example. But I wasn't successful in finding the internet address of the RE305.
Regards
