Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Last

Hi,

I bought a used BE800 on internet (second hand).

I received it with a power supply that is not TP-Link brand, extremely noisy and apparently undersized.

The seller claims it is the original power supply and is making fun of me. He claims he bought the router in August 2024 on Amazon.fr and it's the power supply he received.

The noise (kind of coilwine) is extremely loud. I can hear it outside of the room, closed door.

Can you please confirm it's not the original power supply and it's undersized ?

Is it dangerous to use it ?

Thank you

Hi, welcome to our community.

Sorry, we can not confirm it is the original power adapter only according to the screenshot you shared.

You may try to contact local technical support or go to local store to confirm directly.

Thank you and best regards.

Hi,

Here is a link to a website that did a review of the Archer BE800. Among the photos they share is one of the power supply. To me it looks exactly like the one on the photo you posted, but please verify it by yourself.
