Model: Deco M3W
Hardware Version: V20
Firmware Version: latest

excluding the m4 as that deco only has the feature through a beta software update which means i can't trust it to be extremely stable.

Deco M5 if you can still find it in retail. Also, Deco M9 Plus. Both have Connection Preference feature in release firmware.

Both these models are WiFi5, in general expect M9 Plus be more expensive than M5, but check prices for both - you might score a deal with M9 Plus and then you should choose it, as it is like big brother to M5 in terms of firmware and performance, while keeping same form factor.

Please note that all Deco units in your Deco mesh must support this feature for it to be available and configurable in Deco app.

Look like it may have that feature, but I can't guarantee. You may need to get X10s, create Deco mesh with them and then check in Deco app if connection preference feature is there.

Are you sure about Deco M5 dimensions? I have Deco M5, it is just 2-3 cm tall and about 12-13 cm wide, or 1 inch tall and 5 inches wide in imperial system.

I don't think you could find any other TP-Link Deco smaller than M5.

If you want X20 form factor, Deco X50 and X55 models are almost guaranteed to have Connection Preference feature. I suggest checking those.

@Alexandre. I have a table that is very small that I  keep them on so they can't have a very large horizontal footprint, also at this point, I would like to have a wifi 6 unit. If my only optiion is to look at an x55 or x60, I might as well se if the x20 is cheaper as I already have those and confirm that they do indeed have the cnnectionn preference feature

I just noticed TP-LINK Support comment that X10 also supports connection preference feature, with newly released firmware update.

If X10 are sold in your region, check those: similar form factor as X20 and should be less expensive.
