Hey,

I have download speed issues from the beggining of purchasing this adapter... I have an 500Mbps net .

Im stuck with 10-11mb download speed even when the TP link (tpPLC) utility shows that I have 300+ Mbps speed from the first adapter. ( which should be fine with a gigabit adapter but with an avarage 37-38mb download speed what it should make)

I live in a storeyed house on the upper floor where my second adapter and my pc are connected . Downstairs , there are my router and the first adapter . The distance between the 2 adapter should be like 30 meter . Im not getting more than 11MB download speed .

Is there something that I can do , check if I could improve my download speed which is awful?

Thanks in advance.

Hi  @fatatesz

If you're experiencing low speed issues when connected to a TP-Link powerline device, there are several potential factors and troubleshooting steps you can take:

    1. Check powerline adapters' placement: Ensure that the powerline adapters are plugged directly into a wall outlet and not into power strips, surge protectors, or extension cords.

    2. Test different electrical outlets and move them into the same room for comparison.

    3. Please try to change the Wi-Fi channel and channel width on the powerline extender.  Take TP-Link router as an example:

Changing Channel and Channel Width on a TP-Link Router (new logo)

Please change 2.4G channel width to 40MHZ, 5G channel width to 80MHZ or 160MHZ.
