Hi,

We recently had a bad storm here in the UK and lightning blew up a few of my neighbour's routers.

I have a Router from my broadband provider (PlusNet). This was plugged into a surge protection device and so was my main Deco S4.

My broadband router is still working but when I use the Deco app it says, "we couldn't find Deco".

The status light on all the main Deco is solid red. I have replaced the cables and even plugged it into a different port on my router with no success.

I even tried a different router, but had the same issue. I have about six S4's around the house and so was going to make one of the others the 'master'.

But before I do I wondered if you had any advice?

Its very frustrating as it took a long time in the first place to set up the Deco S4 Mesh network.

Any help would be very welcome.

Sean

Hi Sean,

The main Deco should be the one that is plugged into the broadband router, please confirm the wired connection is correct.

If the main Deco is solid red, you can refer to this thread: Main Deco solid red light.

Make sure that the phone is connected to the Deco WIFI, and VPN is disabled, and then try again if the APP can find the Deco network.

If the issue still persists, you can reset the Deco units and set up again.
