Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

I have bought the TP Link Deco X60. As soon as I recieved the product I noticed issues with the wireless on the product. It was showing me a weak signal. What followed was a back and forth of endless calls between TP Link and the seller and one individual out of about 15 calls to TP Link support was able to help me to get a strong signal in the router post which it was noticed that even with a strong signal, on wireless I was getting 50mbps speed whereas my internet connection is 300 mbps. For context, I have a TP-Link AX53 and AX20 as well which give me the full 300 mbps speed. I also have another set of TP-LINK Deco X60 upstairs in my parents house which gives fill 300 mbps speed so I know it's an issue with this X60 pair that I bought on 14th November. I additionally did another troubleshooting which was to do a speed test on the Deco app which gives me 300 mbps speed and a hardwire from Deco to laptop which gives me 300 mbps. It's only wifi that is a problem. Hence it's the wifi of this pair of x60 that seems broken. Any technical way to fix this or do I need to get a replacement?

  @Sandeep82

Hi, Have you tried to turn off the 2.4GHz band on the Deco APP, and then check how much speed you could get from 5GHz only?

Please make sure you are connected to the first main Deco X60 when testing the speed.

And please also help me test the wireless internet speed here:

How to check the associated/link speed on a wireless client

Thank you very much and wait for your reply.

Best regards.

  @David-TP : Yes indeed. It's around 50 to 80 mbps even when I choose 5ghz. Tried shutting down satellite and did it only on main, same issue. Tried switching devices that is making the main the satellite and vice versa. All the same. Like I said, the speed via wired inside the Deco app and via wired shows up as 300 mbps. So the device on all other parameters appears fine except via wifi.

  @yves_b: Absolutely. Getting full 300 download. Upload around 250 which is the difference I see between the TPLINK AX53 standalone router and this mesh. Meaning wifi speed maxes out on the AX53. My 4K firestick works support except with the Disney app which is curious.

My other 2 x60's work better so it's definitely the wifi that's the issue.

Maybe other wifi 6 mesh from other vendors work better don't know. They are too expensive.
