Archer Air R5 has a compact size of 210×148×10.8 mm and is even thinner than a wall outlet. The pure white shell, minimalist lines, and rounded corners form an elegant appearance and make Archer Air R5 better integrated with modern home interiors.

The LED and WPS 2-in-1 button on the front and the Type-C power port on the bottom further simplify Archer Air R5’s look.

Flexible Installation, Ultra Convenience

Archer Air R5 is designed to easily mount onto walls and offers multiple installation methods. With two 3M adhesives on its back and a plastic bracket accessory, you can paste or mount it on a wall. Its freer placement also saves electrical socket space.

Note: Do not mount the router until the network is set up.

Smart Antennas for All-Round Coverage

Archer Air R5’s built-in smart antennas use intelligent algorithms to auto-detect your devices’ locations and switch to the optimal antenna arrays, ensuring all-round stable signals even in duplex houses.

Flexibly Create Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi

Archer Air R5 is EasyMesh-compatible. If you have any dead zones at home, simply add another EasyMesh router/range extender to further form your whole home multi-gigabit mesh Wi-Fi. No more searching for a stable connection. For a better network experience, we recommend combining with Archer Air E5.

Q1. What's the recommended placement location for the Archer Air R5?

The back area of the router is used for heat dissipation. It works best when the router is mounted on a wall. This device shall be installed at a height of less than 2 meters.

For better Wi-Fi signal and coverage, please make sure there are no obstacles in front of it.

Q2. How to mount Archer Air R5 on the wall?

There are two methods to mount it on the wall: 1) Via 3M Adhesives, 2) Via mounting bracket

Archer Air R5(3-pack) is a combination of 1*Archer Air R5 and 2*Archer Air E5.  

Note: Air R5 is a wireless router with 2*1Gbps ports, while Air E5 is a range extender without Ethernet ports.

Q5. Does the Archer Air R5 support VPN Server?

Yes, it supports VPN Server including PPTP VPN Server and OpenVPN Server.

Q6. What is the specification of the power requirements for USB Type C of the Archer Air R5?

The power supply of the USB Type C port on Archer Air R5 should be 5VDC/2A.

Q7. Does Archer Air R5 support EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul?

Not yet,  it support EasyMesh but doesn't support Ethernet Backhaul for now, however, Ethernet Backhaul will be added on Archer Air R5 in the future.
