Model: Archer A9
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hello,

I recently purchased an Archer A9 wireless router and I am having wifi speed issues. With ethernet I am getting 60-70 mbps at all times (which is what my plan is) so there is no issue with the ISP. However with wifi my devices are usually between 10-15 mbps, at times a bit higher but at times even lower, like under 5. I have tried reading online and changing channels/ width as well as disabling WMM but nothing has helped. I have also upgraded to the latest firmware and done a factory reset.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

@OgiF1

Hello,

Sorry to hear the speed is not as good as expected, please help verify some details and we will try to fix it together:

1. How did you test this speed via the router? Did you disconnect all the other devices from it and only leave one computer performing the test? How about the wired/wireless negotiation speed on that computer? Please verify it by referring to the instruction: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2265/

Note: For wired negotiation speed, it is the same; while you need right click on local area connection or ethernet.

2. Please refer to the instruction below to narrow down the issue.

What should I do if internet speed is slow when the device is connected to the TP-Link router?

Good days.
