Router Archer C6 disconnects 2.4 Ghz
Router Archer C6 disconnects 2.4 Ghz
Hello, I have connection problems with the Archer C6 since I bought it. I have updated it to the latest available version but the failure continues.
I am going to comment on the problem, the 5Ghz network works wonders without fail and never fails, but the 2.4Ghz disconnects continuously, I already tried putting the channels in auto, setting them fixed, changing the width and nothing solves it.
Investigating I found a forum in Spain, where in February of this year (2020) people with the same failure manage to solve it with the last update of January 2020, since they comment that the previous firmware has bugs in the 2.4 network.
The problem I have is that I use high channels with this firmware, I suppose that updating to a European firmware those functions would be limited.
Does anyone know how to solve the problem? or we will have to wait for that firmware to arrive on this side (US).
Greetings.
PD: Excuse my English, i am using a translator.

I tried the first link (out of those 3 links provided in the other post), step# 4. (4. Try to change the wireless channel on the router as 1 or 6 or 11 instead of Auto.) Seems like it worked. Will update it here if this fix does not last longer :)

Apologize for the delay. But the people from TP LINK never helped me, the only solution was to change the router with another brand. Buy 2 router brand ASUS and without problems, both networks 2..4 and 5.8 work out of 10!

@Fox23 I fixed the issue by changing the settings on 2.4 Ghz as follows (not sure which change actually works around the bug):
- Set channel width to 20
- Set channel to 11
- Mode to 802.11/n only
- Security Version to WPA2-PSK
- Encryption to AES

I have three of the Archer C6 devices and they all worked perfectly well, until I tried to update the router firmware (1.3.6 build 20200902). Then the frequent connection drops started. That's weak.
I changed the channel width to 20, 802n only and channel 11, seems to work so far.
