Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hello,

I have a strange issue. I recently bought a Deco m4. All is configured and working beside when trying to log into World of warcraft via wifi from my win10 pro laptop. It stays on Connecting and gives an error not allowing me to access the game. No other issues so far seen with other apps or services.

Also, no issues when:
* a desktop is connected via LAN cable to main Deco (connected to the internet)
* using the cable to connect via LAN from the win10 laptop to the Deco (same cable as with the desktop)
* using a Macbook pro to connect via wifi to the Deco

* adding an extender connected to Deco

Deco is updated to the latest firmware version.

Tried with or without a firewall, run as an Administrator, whatsoever, nothing changes the situation. I believe it is a problem between Deco (main body) and the second Deco body.

@Longbraz

Here are a few things we need to confirm first; what is the current network diagram? What is the error when you tried to access this game? With Win10 connected to the Deco's wifi, please try to ping World of warcraft and show us the result. Try to connect the main Deco to the modem only, with other Decos unplugged, and then connect the Windows 10 laptop the main Deco to verify whether it works.

Hi Kevin,

Thank you for your reply. I am not sure how to show the network diagram, but it looks something like that:

Error is: blz51901016

No difference when using only the main deco.

An interesting find is after several tests - it works when I switch off 5Ghz wifi on the Deco. The problem is though, that there are lag spikes observed - from usual ping ~ 35-50ms it goes to >3000ms and followed by disconnects. With 5Ghz enabled, even with the additional extender, it is not working. Also, while on 5Ghz, when connecting and error message appears, I get disconnected from the wifi. On 2.4Ghz, again after a while it disconnects the laptop from the router.

Thanks!
