Model: Archer A5
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version:

Hi,

I have an Archer C50 (V4) and want to set bandwidth control on my Guest Network. The manual says "The range of bandwidth for guest network is calculated according to the setting of Bandwidth Control on the Bandwidth Control page." However, when I check this page, it simply provides a facility for setting bandwidth controls by IP addresses.

Do I take it that the entire Guest network, irrespective of the assigned IP addresses, will be throttled to whatever is set in the Bandwidth Control page?

TIA - Peter

@PeterJ

To enable bandwidth control for guest network, you need go to Bandwidth control page to enable it and enter the Egress/Ingress bandwidth.

Note: You can enter the actual bandwidth you paid for your ISP.

  • Egress Bandwidth - The max upload speed which through the WAN port.
  • Ingress Bandwidth - The max download speed which through the WAN port.

Then you can setup the detailed information for the bandwidth control of guest network.
