Hi,

I tried to configure Open VPN, but it doesn't work and hope someone could help me.
My configuration is following:
I have an ISP with LTE over air line.
Behind I use the Archer C5400 for firewall, HomeCare and so on (see picture below).

Now I need a VPN connection from my mobile phone and office to my homenetwork.

But how do I have to configure it?
Which ports do I have to forward on the LTE router?
The DDNS from NOIP is configured on the LTE router, because the Archer don't know my external IP address.

I hope someone could help me.

Thanks in advance

I am using PureVPN on my tplink Archer C5400 and feel like they got fastest vpn here at my location. They got nice supporting team and their support page is also informative. Have a check here at https://support.purevpn.com/how-to-setup-purevpn-manually-on-tp-link-router hope it will resolve your problem.

Have a trail on there vpn services if you think they got nice service and support.

If possible, set up the LTE Router to be bridge mode, and C5400 get the public IP runing with No-IP DDNS, problem solved :)
If not, yes, you need set up port forwarding on LTE Router (better use DMZ), C5400 support PPTP server, you may set up port 1723; for the port of OpenVPN, not sure, you may try to use some kind of Port Scan Tool on PC from WAN of C5400 with OpenVPN enable, and you will find the port.

If I am not wrong purevpn does have open vpn support for routers. I have dig out an article which clearly mentions it https://www.vpnranks.com/purevpn-review/. Ask their customer support and maybe they will be able to help you out.

@patrickjburt Hay patrick, I don't how why you are using VPN because PureVPN is not the fastest VPN at all I had used PureVPN 2 months, and more then 50 days I got issues with PureVPN secondly their support is pathetic, Now I am using surfshark VPN, and competitively surfshark is much faster than pure.

You can try any premium Fastest VPNs service. They always have a guide available on Support or Live chat. Personally I use ExpressVPN on my Laptop and Phone.
