Difficulty formatting SD card on Tapo C200 camera
I have purchased a Tapo C 200 camera and a 128 sd card from Amazon.
The camera is working ok but it will not format the SD card and I get a message that there was a problem formatting it. I have tried formatting with the camera/app without success. To test the SD card I formatted it in my Canon camera and it worked fine, recording photos as normal. I formatted in the Canon camera again and tried it in the Tapo 200 without success. I tried the reset button but got the same results. It would appear the camera is faulty in respect of the SD formatting.
Don’t want to return it if possible. Any suggestions.

Please ensure the Tapo APP and device firmware are both up to date.

Hi @Solla-topee,
I am facing the same issue with 3 tapo C70 Cameras. I am using 128gb sand disk SD cards. I tried changing it to fat32 format, but of no use.
Please suggest me the solution.

I suggest going with a 32gb SanDisk SD card. I tried a few legitimate 128gb SD cards and despite the 'technical advice' provided by Tapo I had formatting issues with them all.
I've been using a 32gb SanDisk card for around 4 months now and I've had no issues.

Mine only works with 32gb cards also. Oh well...
