Model: Tapo C420
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Bought a kit a year ago with two C420 cameras, and a hub. One camera is fine so far, one broke, after a few short months, only stayed red, no reset. The bad one was replaced RMA. The replacement camera worked fine for a few weeks then died, will not reset. only red. Will nort reset and connect to hub. No clue what the hardware firmware versions are. it is no longer online to read it. Another RMA ????

Is the camera solid red or blinking red? Or blinking red once a minute? If it is the latter, please charge the battery.

Try to remove the SD card and reboot the camera (reinstall the battery), then do the reset again.

There's not much we can do if the camera won't reset. You may contact the local support team to proceed with the warranty.

been through this so many times... yes battery is charged... only the red light, sometimes there are two more red lights that will either blink or stay red. either way been trying for two weeks to bring it back to life. there are no green lights, it will not do anything else but the middle red light, and the other two, like a triangle of red lights, which sometimes come on. I went through this interrogation like I went through with the last bad camera and get beaten to death asking us about the battery. My other camera works fine. This one will not work. Sick of climbing on the ladder taking this camera into the house charging the battery, pressing a reset button that does nothing. The product obviously is mostly defective, you cannot blame rain it is an outdoor camera! Why TP-link probably spends much more money beating on us instead of fixing products that have a long history of the same issues with this wireless C420 camera. Why not just back up the warranty????
