Change Wifi SSID

I have many Tapo plugs and power strips spread around my home.
I'm in the process of changing my network and need to move all my Tapo devices onto a new Wifi SSID.
How can I do this without resetting them, and losing the many many hours that have been spent naming and labelling everything in Tapo app and HomeAssistant.

Reset is needed if the WiFi settings have been updated. You can use soft reset (press and hold power button for 5 seconds) to remove plug's wifi settings but keep other existing settings.

What do you mean "it reset the whole device but kept the wifi"? After a soft reset, you will still need to re-add this device in the app, like a new device, and then you can choose a new WiFi to connect. During the subsequent setup process, you may see a message like "This device has already been configured." At this point, you can choose to keep the existing settings and continue with the configuration.

Despite what the manual says, there seems to be no difference between holding down reset for 5 seconds or 10 seconds.
After around 6/7 seconds it resets, and does not give a message about the device already being configured when it is re-added.
The app then wipes the individual plug socket names/information but KEEPS the same wifi connection. So the total opposite of what is expected to happen.
I have over 30 of these devices that I need to move from one network to another, but want to keep all the plug socket information.
