1. Registering a TP-Link account is free, and you don't need to buy a TP-Link cloud account. Below are the instructions to register a TP-Link account.

2. A TP-Link account is needed to log into the Tapo app to set up your camera and configure the recording feature. After you set up the camera successfully, you can watch the camera's video recordings remotely on the Taop app, however, the camera does not support downloading the video recordings from the SD card remotely.

3. You can refer to the following steps to set up the recording feature to store the video recordings on the SD card.
    1) Go to the camera's Device Settings > Storage & Recording page.
    2) Enable the Local Recording feature.
    3) On the Local Storage page, it's recommended to enable the Loop Recording option.
    4) Go to the Recording Schedule page to set the recording time for "Do't Record", "Detection Recording", and "Continuous Recording".
    5) Enable the Record Sound feature if you want to record sound.
    6) On the camera's Live View > Playback & Download > Playback >SD card page, you can select the date and find the video clips you want to watch.
