Hi,
We tested the new firmware before releasing it, and it won't brick the camera usually. When the official firmware is released to the camera, it can also update to that firmware.

Hi,
If the problem remains, please confirm the following information for further analysis.
1. Led status on the camera when it's offline.
2. The model number of your Wi-Fi router and the network topology, for example, ISP Spectrum-Archer C7 router<Wireless> Tapo camera.
3. How often does the issue happen?
4. Do you have a problem even when on the same network as the camera?
5. Refer to the following instructions to collect the camera log for analysis.
How to get the log of Tapo Camera

I can check in two weeks, not now, because the camera is at my parents home. I think the better way would be to install the firmware version, that was there before the regular last update. Please do this for now. I will check the log in two weeks and send it to you. Please roll back the last official firmware update.

Hi,
Having same issue with C410. Goes offline on regular basis. Need to get with my phone next to camera and do restart through the app. Having latest firmware 1.03 (hardware version 1.20). It would solve the problem if I could make camera automatic reset, but this function is not avaliable on this model (as is on other Tapo models).
Any help from TP-Link?
Thank you,
Marek

Obviously same problem, obviously after firmware update.
One question, don't you have a decent in-house QA team?
Do you outsource everything to someone somewhere remote because it is cheaper?
From my own experience a bug like this shouldn't have even been noticed by users because the QA team should have find it in test #1 and the IT team should have fixed it instantly.
After a month of reports it's embarrassing to say the least that it hasn't been fixed yet.
