RV20 Mop Spinning endlessly
RV20 Mop Spinning endlessly
Hi, everyone
I bought the Rv20 Mop about three weeks ago. Since then it has been cleaning every day without any problems using the same pattern and the same map. Since yesterday, it has been spinning and moving the wrong way as if there were objects in the way.
I cleaned all the sensors (which were clean)
The battery was 100% charged
The tank was empty
No changes to the map or new objects
The cleaning time has doubled and there are places it passes several times and others it doesn't pass at all. It seems that there is a problem with the algorithm that causes this problem after a certain number of cleanings. It's desperate to see and hear the robot circling in an empty room when a few days ago it was cleaning at full speed. I can't imagine what the floor will look like if I put the mop down.
Model RV20 Mop
Hardware version 1.0
Firmware version 1.1.3 build 240103 Rel. 150809
Is there an update planned to correct this problem?
Have you identified the root cause?
At the moment the robot is slow and not very useful, what was a positive experience is quickly becoming a bad one.

@nevesd5 Over here it is the same deal. Now the robot takes over twice as long (requiring a charge in between) because of all the spins. Possibly because of the dark grey tiles and the drop in brightness outside. We were already getting used to have to start the cleaning in the middle of the day with all blinds fully open and some lights turned on. But currently it is not sufficient anymore. Even after a cleanup of the lidar and fully cleaning the robot with a compressor (suitable for IT stuff).
The way it currently behaves it is not useable anymore. It spends too much time even in the simple areas. Just straight lines, no obstacles, there it even spins and spins.
