If your Tapo Cam has subscribed to the Tapo Care service, the detection video recordings of the camera will be stored on our cloud server, and the video recordings can be stored for up to 7/30 days according to the service you have subscribed to and then they will be deleted automatically and can't be restored.

If your Tapo cam doesn't subscribe to the Tapo Care service but stores the video recordings on an inserted microSD card, the video recordings are saved locally rather than on our server, and you can decide whether to delete them. For example, you can remove the microSD card from the camera and connect it to a computer via an SD card adapter, and then delete the video recordings on your computer as per your desire. If the Loop Recording feature is enabled on the Tapo app>>microSD Card page, the new video recordings will overwrite the old video recordings automatically when the SD card memory is full.
