About the recording issue, do you use SD card? Or have a Tapo Care subscription?

For SD card recording, check if the SD card Recording Schedule (Camera Settings-> Storage & Recording ->microSD Card Recording) is set up properly. 

The hardware configurations of the C425 security camera and the iPhone determine that their imaging results will not be the same. Comparing two devices with such a significant price difference and that is not of the same type is clearly not a e qu a l comparison. The iPhone is equipped with more advanced lenses and imaging sensors and uses different image processing methods. Even if the same resolution is set, the difference in hardware and performance will result in noticeable differences in image clarity.

Where is your camera installed and at what height? What does the scene it captures look like? Please share some images here. It's important to note that security cameras record dynamic footage, and factors like complex scenes (with many colors or elements) and the speed of moving objects can affect the image quality.
