Wrong currency in Tapo app
Hi!
I have issues with the displayed currency in "Bill of this month" section. My account country is Romania but the currency is GBP instead of RON. Is there any way we can solve this?
Thanks!

What is the country/region your mobile phone system is set to? The currency on the iOS device usually follows the phone's settings.
If you have an Android phone, this currency unit is usually the same as the one in Google Play.

Hi,
Thank you for quick reply. Well, that's a problem, my play store is on UK region. Is there any workaround to this? The currency should be selectable, or at least account region based.

@Xedros Unfortunately not.
Why would you use a Play Store account from a country/region other than your own? Actually this can be fixed easily when you switch to the correct account.

I can't help but feel (and don't take this the wrong way) why arbitarily code the currency symbol in the Tapo app, to a completely unrelated value in your Play Store Account?
I don't believe that the 'currency' in the Tapo App relating to energy monitoring is anything more than a symbol, that is not in any way related to Play Store purchases. As such, there is no reason why it could not just be user defined?
Then again, maybe there is a good reason, I just cannot see it.

+1 for allowing custom currency selection. There exist valid reasons for having a different/multiple currency payment accounts in the play store. I could go into depth, but frankly, this should be of no concern to TP-Link. As the OP has mentioned, this is an arbitrary pairing in lieu of a proper currency selector.
The TP Link app should not dictate the settings for the play store app, or any other app for that matter.
I suggest a quick forward to the product/dev teams, to bring attention to this. It's just a dropdown menu, grab the PR quick win..

@Wayne-TP my currency is also US-Dollar ($) even though I live in Germany? I can't seem to change it either. How can I fix it? The country set in my Play Store is already Germany.
