I'm about to give up on this and go back to my Asus mesh setup. 

Previously I had been using my Asus AX11000 with two satellite nodes. I thought I'd switch to this mesh system when I got my cameras but it's been nothing but issues out of the box. 

First the set up app would fail at the last step but still set up the decos in the background. Now wifi drops completely every day, this time while FaceTime talking with family. The entire system just dropped all connectivity. It's a shame because throughput doubled with this which was nice but I'd prefer stability over speed any day. 

I will also add that it looks like both of the two satellite nodes just completely drop off the network like they don't exist when this happens and all I can see is the main router. 

What can I try before I return this to Costco?  It's very frustrating how poor the quality is. 

UPDATE: Return initiated. I just don't have the time to waste troubleshooting something with this price tag. Maybe I got a defective unit which could explain why it's been nothing but a headache since it came out of the box, but for now I'll enjoy my TP link cameras that are up and working great with my ASUS network continuing to be reliable as ever.
