Model: Deco XE5300
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.3 Build 20231011 Rel. 60272

I have the Costco 3 pack version - so technically it is the AXE5300 system. This replaced an ancient, but solid AirPort Express based installatin.

Setup was a breeze. Main unit is connected to a Verizon Fios modem. The two satellite units are connected via CAT 5e Ethernet. There are Netgear unmanaged switches between the main and and satellite units.

At any given time there are 30+ wired and wireless devices on the network - PCs, phones, iPads, smart light switches, etc. It is all typical consumer grade stuff.

The system has been solid. However, every couple of days the Internet connection will just go. The main unit LED will turn red and we have nothing. The Fios modem is all green. Our Fios has gone out maybe 2 times in the five years we have had it.

I don't even know how to begin troubleshooting this issue. I work from home and it is very disruptive.

The Deco app has been alerting me about a firmware upgrade to 1.2.14. Should I go ahead and do this?

What is the process for upgrading the firmware? Will the Deco app upgrade all three devices? How long does it take?

Thanks.

@BryanDeco Late reply, but the board fills up far to fast here so things get hidden fast. I'm on 1.2.14 with no problems, so I say go for it, if you still see the issue you might want to be more detailed on how it occurs and if anything is a constant.

@BryanDeco That firmware update was from last December, I 100% agree to go ahead and update the firmware on all of them.  I would assume the Deco App makes it simple to update them all simultaneously.  (I only have 1 Deco so I can't confirm it first hand).
