Archer AX1450 Wi-Fi 6 Router no internet when using router mode
Device: AX1450 Wi-Fi 6 Router
Purchased: Yesterday
Issue: No internet connectivity when in router mode. (Constant orange light)
I'm upgrading from an Archer C54 which was easy to set up.
For the Archer AX1450, I tried to go through the same setup process which was to connect the modem to the WAN port and connect the LAN to my desktop.
I logged in with the ADMIN password and went through the setup. When it got to the end, it would not connect to the internet at all.
I tried backing out, reseating the ethernet cords, using a different cord, and resetting the config to default. Same issue. I went back into the settings and switched the router's Operation mode to Access point mode and connected it to the Archer C54 and it started working.
I was able to get the firmware updated to the latest version and I tried again. Same issue. The port can't be burnt seeing as it works in a different mode.
I'm not sure if I should just return this or not.
Does anyone have any pointers on what I should do?
I only offers 2 modes compared to my C54.
Wireless Router Mode which is the one it came in with no ability to connect during the set up or at any point.(Just an amber light for internet)
AP mode. It will connect to the internet but It won't connect directly to my modem(Arris SB6141). I have to use my TP-link Archer C54 as a middle man.
