Also, is there a way to block the connection if the VPN disconnects unexpectedly?

Do you mean when you switch between the two servers, it gets stuck on connecting and never connects? If so, how did you make it connect? What if you just connect to one, will it connect?
What kind of VPN server you are connecting to? Please go through the troubleshooting suggestions here to check if any help.
@Kevin_Z I used a configuration file that I got from my VPN 's website to set it up, when wifi is turned off it connects and stays connected even if I turn wifi back on, the problem is when wifi is on and I try to change the servers, it just says connecting and never connects
