Keep me posted on what you find at your local Costco. 👍

P.S. Yes, I did edit the subject to refocus on models currently available in the US - you're not going crazy. I'm right there with you feeling like I'm going crazy trying to keep track of these edits. 😆

Well, CostCo package calls it BE1100 on the back lebel:

9cdae73ddb644fec81cc88fb04b524b2

Not surprising to me. I remember when buying a DVD player, or even a TV, each store had a different model number, maybe just one letter off even wiht the same number. The letter represented to reseller.

Still, the ZIP file name doesn't match the .BIN file name. So if I had the BE11000 if I got it via CostCo, I'd worry about installing this one:

Directory of K:\Inet DL\BE65_V2-up-ver1-1-7-P1[20250324-rel32980]  <---- Directory entry for the ZIP file

 Directory of K:\Inet DL\BE65_V2-up-ver1-1-7-P1[20250324-rel32980]

04/07/2025  02:38 PM    <DIR>          .
04/10/2025  12:15 PM    <DIR>          ..
03/28/2025  05:20 AM        48,372,701 BE65_BE63_BE11000_BE9300_v2_SP1_V2-up-ver1-1-7-P1[20250324-rel32980]_2025-03-24_17.55.24.bin <-- Filename inside the ZIP File... and it calls out for 4 different routers.

Don't forget, the LINK NAME did NOT have BE65 in it, but it was this:

Deco BE11000/BE63 V2/V2.6

1.1.7_build_20250324_Pre Release

I'd question if I got the correct file and if I had a BE11000 I might NOT even know a 'similar' Deco had that name.

This file could use some renaming at least to include both BE65 and BE11000

To me, this even begs another question? What is the difference between models BE65, BE65 Pro, and BE11000?

I did find THIS link, https://techdecode.online/decode/tp-link-deco-be65-vs-deco-be-65-pro/, and if I can beleive the numbers, the difference between the BE65 and BE65 Pro boils down to the total rated speeds due to the BE65 Pro having basically 50% more 5Ghz speed than the BE65,

Feature Deco BE65 Deco BE65 Pro
Maximum Wi-Fi Speed Up to 9214 Mbps
6 GHz: 5760 Mbps (802.11be)
5 GHz: 2880 Mbps (802.11be)
2.4 GHz: 574 Mbps (802.11ax)
Up to 11 Gbps
6 GHz: 5764 Mbps (802.11be)
5 GHz: 4324 Mbps (802.11be)
2.4 GHz: 688 Mbps (802.11be)
Wired Ports 4x 2.5 Gbps 1x 2.5 Gbps + 2x 5 Gbps

The part that bothers me more, is the TOTAL speed the above shows.

The BE65 on the box states 11000Mbps but it actually is 9214Mbps, where as BE65 Pro is 11000Mbps.

Even the TP-Link page for the BE65 Pro shows the higher 5Ghz speed and calls it BE11000 as well, see https://www.tp-link.com/us/deco-mesh-wifi/product-family/deco-be65-pro/https://www.tp-link.com/us/deco-mesh-wifi/product-family/deco-be65-pro/

For the BE65, though, the TP=Link page does show the same 4324 Mbos??? See https://www.tp-link.com/us/deco-mesh-wifi/product-family/deco-be65/#specifications

So comparing the TP-Specifacation page for each I see this:

BE65

BE11000
6 GHz: 5760 Mbps (802.11be)
5 GHz: 4320 Mbps (802.11be)
2.4 GHz: 574 Mbps (802.11ax)

Be65 Pro

BE11000
6 GHz: 5765 Mbps (802.11be)
5 GHz: 4324 Mbps (802.11be)
2.4 GHz: 688 Mbps (802.11be)

Those numbers do not jive with the ones on the other link? Also, why are all measurements made on 802.11be, all bands on the Pro, but only 2 on the standard BE65, and the 2.5Ghz on 802.11AX?

Wierd to me?

  @IrvSp

So, regarding the information on your Deco BE65 box — "BE11000" is the Class of the system (combined bandwidth of all three bands). As you pointed out here:

4ea5dc64580d4b00aa04b90cad56937e

"Deco BE65" is the model number and matches what you see on the label beneath the node(s). Another example of this would be our Archer AX55 and Archer AX3000. Both are AX3000 Class Wi-Fi 6 Routers; however, their model numbers and some other features differ (the chassis design, for example).

I hear you on the filename. Although it lists and is compatible with multiple models, our team on the US community does our best to only call out model numbers that are applicable to models actively available in the US.

From what I can tell, your Deco BE65 V2 was received via beta testing, and is not an actively sold US model / hardware version; however, the Deco BE63 V2/V2.6, and Deco BE11000 both are. That said, the Deco BE65 V2 is compatible with this pre-release firmware.

I honestly can't verify where the "techdecode" site referenced those specifications from, since they did not clarify the hardware version or region identifier for the Deco BE65 in their comparison. It may be that the BE65 used in their comparison is a different hardware version or is from a different region with regulatory restrictions on the use of specific channels (e.g., U-NII-2C) in the 5 GHz spectrum, which can potentially alter available bandwidth on the 5 GHz band for the device. US models should not be affected by this.

Thanks again for sharing all of these details about your Deco experience — and for your interest in this pre-release firmware.

Re:Pre-Release: Enhancing Satellite Deco Network Stability with Deco BE11000/BE63 V2/2.6 1.1.7
a week ago

  @Ryan

This appeared on my Deco B63 v2.6 and I upgraded to it. However it's even less stable than the previous version 1.1.6.

I had multiple brief outages, and after a couple of days the download speeds dropped, and I had to reboot. Also after the auto-update to 1.1.7, the download speeds were crushed to about 25% of actual capacity, fixed by another reboot (this also happened with the upgrade to v1.1.6)

I have since gone back to v1.1.2, which seems stable for now; I'll give it a week+ and maybe try v1.1.5 again to see if that's stable as well.

Since the reboots seem to fix the issues (except for the disconnects/outages), it appears to be some kind of memory leak issue.

Can you please investigate? I'm not comfortable being forced to use an older version of the firmware for stability.

Thanks

Mathew

Thanks for letting me know how your experience went. I can understand your concerns with running older firmware — I'll share your feedback with our engineering team for awareness and will let you know if they have any questions or provide any recommendations.

Just to clarify - you experienced Internet speed degradation on both 1.1.6 and 1.1.7, both of which required reboots - but 1.1.7's Internet speed degradation was more severe?

  @Ryan

On v1.1.7 I had several short unexplained outages connecting to the internet, which on v1.1.6 I didn't have (weeks without a hiccup). Download speeds when affected were roughly the same level of bad (about 25% of full speed), however v1.1.7 also showed a lower speed even on a router speed test, which was not the case with v1.1.6 as I recall.

Thanks

Mathew

Re:Pre-Release: Enhancing Satellite Deco Network Stability with Deco BE11000/BE63 V2/2.6 1.1.7

  @ms19

Don't mean to intrude here, but I discovered something?

Here is my readings I got on my ISP's 1Gbps down/40Mbps service:

Using this web site on FireFox https://www.speedtest.net:

7a3e475ff5304876aca291fd045a2525

Doesn't look too good, does it? I also ran FireFox without any extensions, about the same, the Unstable part is due probably to the SLOW ramp up of speed.

Yet when I test the modem to Deco on the iPhone Deco app, I get this:

315c23aaf8864c9ebc0a8f4f5257a936

30% down??

So I switch to the same site using Edge:

e80f1c2212e4453987250f0b66d54239

A LOT better.... is the problem FireFox?

So I get the desktop SPEEDTEST app and run it:

be464c9225b641aea53dedf3abcdb7fe

So, wondering IF it is what you are testing with?

Might matter what SSID you are on as well. I'm running on the MLO SSID on a BE65 Deco, and on W11 24H2 (supposed required for WiFi 7 usage) via an Intel M.2 BE200, all with the latest drivers and updates. I should note, with the 6Ghz SSID I do get about the same as I just switched to it and did the same desktop test:

855dfb6181734ee699fbc31ccaebd329

So I'd suggest trying out the SPEEDTEST BY OOKLA desktop program and see if you get dufferent results.

Unfortunately it's not related to OS/browser. I always try multiple tests on multple devices including phones, diff browsers, different speedtest vendors etc.

When they all report slow speeds, you know the problem is at the source. And it's confirmed after everything goes back to full speed after a Deco reboot.
