I have been using the Deco XE75 (2 units) for a couple of years, and all was well; Good speeds throughout, consistent, easy app for management. 

 

And about 10 days back, I upgraded the firmware. I was lazy, and had clicked on the upgrade notification on the mobile app. That was a bad decision. 

 

Before the upgrade I used to get

300Mbps download and 280Mbps upload speeds, with Jitter of 1ms. 

Now I get

300Mbps download and .6Mbps upload speeds, with Jitter of 74ms

 

I have already tried checking the ISP provided device speeds that continues to be as before.

The Deco XE75 is practically unusable.

 

Hoping for a resolution to the slow speeds, using the Deco App, I upgraded to 1.4.0 Build 20240418 Rel. 35423. However, nothing appears to have changed. The Deco units continue to be slow.

Or is there any way to downgrade the Firmware to the factory version?

This is the latest speedtest results on the 5GHz band - see the difference in the Deco result:

From the results, it does appear that Deco is throttling something. 

 

Can someone from TP-Link offer a solution?

 

I have already tried siwtching ON/OFF the following settings in the Deco App: 

  1. Tested using both 2.4GHz and 5GHz
  2. Tested on multiple devices - mobile and laptop
  3. Temporarily turned OFF/ON "Fast Roaming", "Beamforming" and on the Deco App.
