I have been attempting to upgrade the firmware of my Deco XE75 V2, and saw a new file available called "Deco XE75(US)_V2_1.2.8 Build 20240328"

 

Using the Deco app and checking for firmware updates says my system is currently up to date (which is wrong).

 

No matter what I try, I can't do the update.  I've tried manually logging into my Deco(s), and doing the manual update.  The process indicates "completed" but nothing ever happens.

 

I have five XE75's, all connected via ethernet, and all version 2, with the same old 1.2.5 firmware.

When it comes to updates from the app, you have to wait until it gets pushed to yours. Noticed it with previous firmwares, I’m still on 1.2.5 myself, you just have to wait it out or manually force the update yourself.

I understand that the Deco iOS app won't do the update, however when I try to force the update (by logging directly into the router), I get nowhere, except some very strange indications of "success" when in fact nothing was successful.

 

I suspect there is a problem with the latest firmware release.

  @KapnKrunch Just got the update notice today for 1.2.8. It sounds buggy, really wish support would come in an assist you because your remarks have me hesitant to update to it.

  @WYLDSTALLYNS actually my network has been way more reliable since 1.2.8.  I haven't had this length of stability for a while.
