Hi maybe you mistook the two units？ the KIT contains WPA8630 AND PA8010 the WPA8630 is a wireless unit and the PA8010 is a wired unit (W means wireless)

have you tried to plug it in another usb port?

change to another PCI slot to see what will happen, or try it on another PC if possible if the performance is the same on different PC,then it may be a faulty,contact the retailer for a replacement.
