Firmware Version: 1.0.21

Everything seems to work, motion detection give popups, recording and taking photo's manualy works but there is no recording when there is motion detection. Is it a setting somewere?

Did 2 resets to see if i missed something but i cant seem te find the issue.

Hi,

An old smaller card works. Tested the evo card in my computer and it also works only not in the camera. Strange but solved for now.

Hi,
1. If you have inserted an SD card into the camera to store video recordings, please go to the camera's Device Settings > Storage & Recording page, ensure the Local Recording is enabled, and go to the Recording Schedule page, ensure you have set the camera to record detection all the time.

 

2. If you have subscribed to the Tapo Care service, please go to the Tapo app > Me > Tapo Care page, and ensure your camera is added to the Tapo Care plan.

Yes, there is a card present and i can record manualy and take photo. They get stored on the SD card. (samsung evo 64GB) The switch to record is on but still no recordings. I dont want a subscription.

1. Can you receive a notification on your phone or Tapo app when the camera detects an event?
2. Please send us the pictures of the camera's Device Settings > Storage & Recording page and the Recording Schedule page.
3. Please send us a picture of the camera's Live View > Playback & Download > Playback >SD card page.

Hi,
1. Please note that the pictures or video clips you record manually are not stored on the SD card, they are stored on the Tapo app/your phone.

 

2. The Storage & Recording settings are correct according to the provided pictures. But I'm not sure if your detection feature is working.
1) Please go to the camera's Device Settings > Detection page and send me a picture of it.


2) Please enable the Alarm feature of the camera and then test if it will alarm when detecting an event.
How to configure the Alarm feature for the Tapo Cameras on the Tapo app?


3) If the camera will alarm when detecting an event, it means the detection feature is working. On the Tapo camera's Live View > Playback & Download > Playback >SD card page(rather than the Download page), please check if there are video clips stored.
