D230 Doorbell night vision keeps dimming
My D230S1 doorbell night vision is not working properly
I'm sure the infrared should stay on? For some reason it dims down to a view that's almost impossible to see anything
If I click the light bulb on and off....OR switch to day mode then back to night mode, it will 'Click' and the infrared view comes on fine...BUT the moment I click out the App and go back to look, it's gone back to the dimmed image and I can't see anything
It's on 'Auto' so shouldn't it stay on? I thought that maybe the infrared just clicks on when it 'detects' movement, but i tested it tonight and it doesn't
Here's the view with the infrared working after clicking through night/day mode, or clicking bulb on and off:
Here's what the image looks like afte closing App and going back in, or getting a notification. (Infrared doesn't come on!!)

Those street lights in front of the doorbell are most likely what is affecting the automatic switching of the camera infrared mode.
Try to adjust the angle of the doorbell, for example, by turning it slightly to the left (using the provided 15° mounting wedge) to avoid the two streetlights on the right, or try to move the light source as far to the edge of the frame as possible. This may help improve the situation. Then check whether the camera will automatically switch to night mode under these conditions.

Update for this thread: After analysis, it appears that the camera's infrared light may be malfunctioning, which is preventing the camera from switching to night mode. In this situation, the device will need to be replaced.

Thanks for the reply
Those street lights turn off about 11pm, and even when it's completely dark the camera still won't flick to infrared and stay on. It only comes on if I cycle through day/night mode or toggle the 'bulb' icon on and off
I am already using the wedge so I can't really position it in a way that eliminates this light when it is on.
I'll check again later tonight and screen shot it so you can see
