Model: Tapo C200
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.3.15 Build 240715

Suddenly, it seems like someone hacked my Tapo C200 by pressing the loop recording off button.

Before leaving the house and coming back to watch the clip without recording, I remembered that I had pressed the loop recording button a long time ago.

Hi,
To protect your home security:
1. Ensure the Tapo camera's firmware and Tapo app are up to date.

2. Try to remove the SD card from the camera, connect it to the computer via an SD card adapter, and then back up the video recordings to your computer. Then connect the SD card to the camera, format the SD card, ensure the Loop Recording feature is enabled, configure the relevant storage settings, and then confirm that the camera's video recordings will be stored on the SD card.
How can I view continuous recordings of Tapo cameras on the Tapo app?

3. Enable the 2FA feature on the Tapo app to protect your account. After that, if a new device logs in to the Tapo app with your account, you will be notified since they will ask for a verification code from you.

Hi,
Generally, only the person who has your TP-Link account can log in to the Tapo app to change your settings, and disabling the Loop Recording feature won't cause the camera to stop recording if the SD card is not full.

In your case, please confirm:
1. What's the model number, capacity, and format of your SD card?
2. On the Tapo app > Camera's Device Settings > Storage & Recording > Local Storage page, is the SD card storage full?

If you are concerned about your account security, it's recommended to enable the 2FA feature on the Tapo app to protect your account.

  @Solla-topee

That day I left the house for 2-3 hours. I saw a stranger entrance to my house. I tried to check the Tapo C200 camera. It appears that the camera has disabled repeat and the SD Card is full of red. So I lost a recording of the time I left my house. So I was worried that he wanted Hack to come to see my house.
