Tapo S210/S220 linked under the Tapo H100 V1 1.5.16

 

 

Description

The schedule feature on the Tapo S210 or S220 stops functioning. Disabling and re-enabling the schedule entry can temporarily fix the problem until it fails again.

 

 

Solution

The issue has currently been identified as occurring on the Tapo S210 or S220 connected to Tapo H100 V1 1.5.16.

 

This problem will be fixed in the next official firmware release for the H100. 

 

09/30/2024 Update

Production firmware 1.5.20 Build 240911 for Tapo H100(EU)_V1 with relevant fixes has been released.

I have both the S210 and the H100, the firmware of the H100 is 1.5.19, its December 2024 now, according to the post firmware version 1.5.20 should resolve the issue I am having withe the S210 (loosing schedule and not binding with actions of grouped devices). My H100 telle me that it is up to date. I am located in Belgium, How can I get the latest firmware update?

Is your H100 connected to the internet/cloud? Check whether you can ring the hub with Tapo remotely, e.g. when using cellular data. 

 

If device's remote control fails, check the suggestions here in Case 2. Cannot use the Tapo app to control my smart devices

  @Wayne-TP , yes I am able to have the H100 "ring" as you suggested but first turned off the wifi on my phone and using only cellular data.

I took the opportunity look at the update status on the device and it still suggests "The firmware is currently up-to-date. Enjoy!"...
