My question is, is it safe to assume i bought a fake micro SD?

and to members who've had a similar case, what micro SD brand did you purchase to avoid cases like this?

  @chileon

Hi,
It seems the SD card is not working properly according to the test results of the [h2test] and [fakeflashtest] tools. It suggested using a different SD card on the camera to store video recordings.

You can refer to the link below to see the microSD card that can work with the Tapo cameras.
General Information about using MicroSD Cards with TP-Link’s Kasa or Tapo Cameras?

When purchasing a microSD card, it is recommended to go to its introduction and warranty pages to see if it is mentioned that the microSD card is not suitable for cameras.

Best Regards
