Model: Tapo C100
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Has anyone figured out how to pole the cameras (every couple minutes?) to see if any motion has been detected and video saved to the SD card. Then auto download the video.

I have a number of cameras at the end of 4G routers and 10 cameras on a single WiFi. I can't stream video 24x7 to watch for changes but I could (using the limited bandwidth) collect just the video from the SD card.

Is this possible, has anyone done it?

  @MervGrey

Hi,
If you have inserted an SD card into the Camera, and the microSD Card Recording feature is enabled and the Recording Schedule is set to Continuous Recording all the time on the Camera Settings page, the camera will record the video all the time and save the video to the SD card.
On the Camera's live view>Playback&Memory>Playback page, you can watch all the videos and the motion detection clips will be marked with a different color so it's easy to find out.
However, the Tapo C100 does not support the feature to download video clips from the SD card on the Tapo app. You can connect the SD card to a computer via an SD reader and then download the video clips from the SD card.

Best Regards
