Model: Tapo P110
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.6 Build 221114 Rel.203339

Hello,

currently i use several Tapo P110 do measure some devices.

After some time i export the data with the export feature -> export as mail.

What I am not yet clear about the exported data is following:

A power consumption in watts is logged every 5 minutes:

2023/05/16 14:55:00 164

2023/05/16 15:00:00 160

2023/05/16 15:05:00 161

2023/05/16 15:10:00 181

2023/05/16 15:15:00 170

2023/05/16 15:20:00 165

2023/05/16 15:25:00 165

But what does the number really say?:

a) the average power consumption in the 5 minute window?

b) the maximum power consumption in the 5 minute window?

c) the power consumption that was measured exactly in the specified minute/second? (i.e. what happened in the other 4 min 59 sec would not have any influence on the measurement data)

I hope someone can answer me this question.

thanks

  @potatoturtle

Hello, thank you for the post. Firstly, I would like to specify that this is actually the Power of the device, not the energy consumption. Second, to answer the question, this number refers to the real-time power of the appliance at this specific time, e.g. 2023/05/16 14:55:00.

Device real-time power will be refreshed every 5 seconds, you can check it on the device page-->Current Power.
