Model: Tapo C200
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: v1.0.7

Today I bought Tapo C200 from Korean reseller then I update firmware to lastest version.

When I had setup it on my Synology system.
I realized "It can not control via Synology Surveillance Station"

So I searching whole Korean web sites. but I can not found solution for Pan/Tilt control via Synology System.

Please let me know If someone has succeeded in Tapo C200's PAN and TILT control at Synology.

Edit 25.05.2021 : I will happily eat crow here and admit I was TOTALLY wrong. I upgraded the firmware, and PTZ now works with third party software, I tested it with iSpy. This is now a very neat little camera (that I didn't return, despite the threats  ), and one of the best for the price. Appreciate that you listened to all the feedback asking for this feature.

You got plenty of feedback on this issue, but there's no will to fix it. A couple of minutes worth of research:

Camera is deliberately crippled for third party software in an attempt to force buyers of your camera to use your app. I'll return it first thing tomorrow.

@Juno-Korean

Hello,

This Tapo C200 supports the third-party software/application, but it does not support PTZ yet.

We have noted your request and will keep an eye on similar feedback.

@ 솔라 토피

I hope the 3rd party program supports moving functions as soon as possible. I think it will have a big impact on the sales of Tapo C200.

Approximately 13,000 users are interested in the issue of using moving functions in Synology.

Dear TP-Link Team,

first of all i'm seeking for a security camera which fits my privacy needs, i'm looking already ages for an affordable, non-cloud connected and configurable web-cam.

I thought i found one, which suits my needs.

My impression got directly damped, after i had to create a tp-link account before i can setup the camera in my fenced SSID.

As a proud owner of a synology i added the camera, after i created a user and password over the app, to my surveillance station.

Then the next damper was that i can't use ptz at all, neither with the available camera model nor with onvif, i read in some forum that it's possible via onvif to stear the camera itself.

Audio i didn't even test yet, the camera will get returned within this week.

I will continue my search for an affordable house security camera, without cloud legs and crippled setup methods.

You could be the first one on the market, which provides a non cloud fully configurable camera, which satisfies all the needs of ppl which are aware of security and privacy, the numbers are growing, slowly but they do.

Just bear in mind that companies might be interested in such equipment too, as they have to be compliant with plenty of laws ;-).

Regards,

JC

Is there any update about this?

I just bought a Synology NVR and few tp-link C200 because they're sold as "compatible", but the pan-tilt is clearly not working.

Thanks.
