Hello

 

I'm using the camera on my private network (no internet conneciton) and I need to send move alert by email to my exchange server but camera force my to use a password in smtp setting, why?

 

my exchange validate by IP address so camera has a fix ip address.

Does SMTP server use authentication? If so, the password is needed. 

 

You can refer to page 32 of the user manual to get more information about the SMTP.
