Hello!
I purchased an HS100 smart plug on November 26, 2018 over Amazon. It worked well so far. Since about 1 week (10 Months in use) there is the following problem:
The socket does not switch off. If the socket is switched on and I press the button on the socket, the light goes out at the socket, and I also hear the relay click, but the socket continues to supply power. When I control the plug from the Google Home or Kasa App, the same thing happens. The LED in the socket goes off and you can hear the relay switching, but the socket doesn't turn off the power. I've reset the socket several times and set it up again, which didn't help.
I searched the forums and saw that this is a common problem.

Just had this happen to one of my KP105's.
It's powering an LG 42LB5500 TV, Pioneer SX-SWR1 amp, and a Steamlink.
As suggested, giving the smart plug a short sharp thwack fixed it.
Its less than a year old, and doesn't fill me with confidence for the other 3 unopened KP105's I have :/
