I have an issue enabling remote control of an hs110 smart plug via the android casa app .I performed a firmware update and several factory resets-device removals.

The problem insists.I already have 3 more plugs with no issues.

What is the light status of the HS110?

 

Is there any error message if you failed to control it remotely? 

 

What is the current hardware and firmware version  of the HS110 and what is the kasa app version.

Actually everything is working great in local only mode (meaning when being part of the same wifi network).WhenI try to enable the slider to remote control i get the recomte control disabled pop up message.

Hi,

 

Try to reset the HS110 and reconfigure it. With plug powered on, hold the settings button for 10s.

After that, please test whether you can control it remotely.

 

Besides, please ensure that the kasa APP is up to date.

Hi, I am having the same issue. I have tried all the steps above and it still isn't working. 

Is there anything else that I can try? My hs110 is currently on firmware 1.5.7 but when I try to update it, it says "Update unsuccessful" and "unable to check for firmware download progress". 

 

Any ideas of what i can try to fix this?
