Hi,
I buy a NC210. Download the App connect the camera but in the first menu to put the camera password the app don´t let me put the password “admin” that is the password in the sticker. The app says “don’t use admin”, but I´m not creating a password I’m trying to put the password of the camera and the app don’t let ‘me. Don’t make any sense.

Maybe is it asking you create a new password? You can try to give it a private password. Or just do a reset on the camera and try again.

No. If I put a password to create one it says "incorrect password". And in the menu says to introduce the camera password. The Camera password is "admin" for default, but the app don´t letm put this password.
I reset the camera several times and install again the app.

Hi,
I have the same issue.
New camera NC210 received today, tpCamera on android 6.0 up to date :
After camera detection, the application asks for camera password. Password under the camera is 'admin', but impossible to type admin into application. Impossible to go next step obviously.
And impossible to set a new password into camera configuration because camera is not added due to precedent problem. Its an insolvable cycle :s
I had trying with an old version of tpCamera (june 2017) but it's the same problem.
Any idea ?
Thx,
es0kz

The latest tpcamera version and NC210 firmware version should have fixed this issue.
Did you guys update both the tpcamera and NC210?
Uninstall the tpcamera and download it again, it will the latest one.
The latest firmware is 160412. http://www.tp-link.com/en/download/NC210.html#Firmware
I suggest to upgrade the firmware via management website. Here is an instruction : http://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-1018.html

Thx for Ur reply.
With the nc210 camera, I cant plug my camera on local network because there is only wifi connection. And for use wifi connection and have an ip address to go to management website, I need add camera on tpCamera application, but its impossible because I need upgrade firmware for adding.
( http://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-817.html => doesn't work with nc210)
There is a way to upgrade nc210 firmware without adding camera into tpCamera app ? I have tried to plug camera into PC with unique usb cable, but camera isn't recognized from PC. There is only the green/red led when it's plugged.
There is anything I dont understand ?
Thx,
Corentin

The NC210 has a fallback IP 192.168.0.10 and it will broadcast a wifi signal called TP-Link Camera XXXX.
Connect to TP-Link camera wifi, setup a static IP address for the wifi connection , such as 192.168.0.100.
Then you could login to the management page of the camera using 192.168.0.10 to update the firmware or setup the camera.

Works fine now :) Thx for help !
I setup the camera from management website after update firmware from fallback ip. Impossible to add from tpCamera.
With management website, all is good, and after configuring wireless local connection and registering cloud service account, I have access to the live stream from my smartphone.
Not easy to do this :)
Regards,
Corentin

Hi,
Even if this fallback ip isn't in my ip class range I can connect to camera?
I asked because I have the same problem.
I don't want to use camera in cloud. I need to set an ip address.
But I need to connect with browser on its management console. and admin / admin doesn't work.
If camera has latest firmware version and given credentials do not work what can I do?
Thx,
Dan
