Model: Tapo C210
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.1.2

I’m experiencing an issue where video recordings are taking up too much space on my 64GB microSD card. Even though I’ve set the recording quality to 720p at 15fps, the card becomes full after just 4 days.

Interestingly, I also have a Tapo C210 camera (version 2, firmware 1.4.5) using the same type of microSD card and identical recording settings. On that camera, the storage lasts up to 24 days.

How is this possible?

Hi,
This phenomenon is related to the default resolution of the video recordings saved to the SD card by the camera. Currently, the default resolution of the video recordings saved to the SD card by the Tapo C210 V3 is the highest 2304 x 1296 px. However, the default resolution of the video recordings saved to the SD card by the Tapo C210 V2 is the same as the video quality setting.

You can refer to the steps in the following guide to download videos from the SD card to your phone and check the resolution of the video recordings in the SD card of the Tapo C210 V3 and C210 V2.
Seamless Video Control: Download and Clip Camera SD Card Videos in Tapo App!

In addition, did you set to store 24H continuous video recordings to SD on both cameras?

Best Regards
