Hi,

some time ago (month+) I'd lost connection to a set of my p100 outlets. I see them connected to a wifi, i see an activity from them (dns quieries, connections to 443 port), i even see one of them online, but 3-4 are marked offline in the apps.

does anyone have any ideas what is wrong? I cannot reach them physically, so it is huge problem for me :(

Just curious, could it be issue if a domain tpcrl.tp-link.com.cn couldn't be resolved and plugs cannot verify cert (strange, but why not...)

Interesting. Smart plug which is still working has MAC which starts with E4:FA:C4, failed plugs all starts with 14:EB:B6. Another thing, working plug is connected to IP 18.142.207.32 and it is resolved as ec2-18-142-207-32.ap-southeast-1.compute.amazonaws.com A lost plugs are trying resolve and connect to security.iot.i.tplinknbu.com. Probably, it should be redirected later to amazon cloud, but it doesn't happen for unknown reasons. Sounds bad, actually...

  @Landgraph

Do you have access to the router? Try to restart the router. Change router DNS to Google DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

If you have someone that can help you reach the plugs physically, power cycle the smart plug, or factory reset and reconfigure the smart plug will be the helpful methods, in most cases.

If the above suggestions don't help to resolve the problem, then further analysis is required. But troubleshooting may be hard to proceed with, as you will need to be onsite sometimes.

  @Wayne-TP  Thanks for answer! I've tried different DNS servers as you suggested - nothing changed.

No, I don't have anyone who can reach devices (otherwise it couldn't be a problem), and all of them HW version 1.2 (2.0 is still working).

Same time I lost simultaneously all of them, so it looks like an issue with a cloud communication.

Can you check them from you side? But I have only mac addresses of them. Btw, can I somehow login on a plug using... I don't know, ssh?

Unfortunately there is no method to resolve this remotely. Access to device control is exclusively for the owner account.

  @Wayne-TP can you tell me what do you see from your side? All of them linked to my account. What's the issue? Because issue is 99.9% on your side - plugs are connected to wifi and trying communicate with cloud.

Right now it sounds like "don't use cloud devices anymore".
