Tapo Cameras Not Connecting Despite Strong Wi-Fi – How to Fix It?
Hello everyone!
In my house, I have around ten Tapo cameras connected for surveillance.
I don’t understand why, very often, when I try to access them through the app, the cameras don’t connect—it’s as if they are unreachable, even though the Wi-Fi signal is very strong and stable.
Does anyone know how I can fix this? In the end, they are pretty much useless because, most of the time when I actually need them, I can’t access the camera footage.

i have a C425 camera which keeps dropping the wifi. I have reached out to support but no fix appears to be available. Only got one camera and will not purchase further cameras until they fix this. I have a Deco mesh so if they cannot stabilise this issue on a TP link product what chance have we got sorting ii out on 3rd party routers

Hi,
You can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot the reported issue.
What should I do if my Tapo smart device keeps losing connection or going Offline?
Please confirm the following information if the problem remains.
1. List the troubleshooting you did and the results.
2. Led status on the camera when it's offline: Red/ Flashing Green/ Solid Green, etc.
3. Do you stream the camera locally or remotely when the issue happens?
4. The model number Wi-Fi router and your network topology, for example, ISP Spectrum-Archer C7 router<Wireless> Tapo device
5. How often does the issue happen?
6. What's the RSSI value on the camera when it's working?
Best Regards
